David Hamilton, Rape-accused lensman died ‘a coward’.

British photographer David Hamilton is found dead in Paris, as his alleged rape victims say he is a coward who has escaped justice.

“By his cowardice, Hamilton condemns us again to silence and the inability to see him convicted. The horror of this news will never wipe out that of our sleepless nights.” – Flavie Flament.

Famed for his soft-focus portraits of unclothed girls, Mr Hamilton last week denied allegations by a French radio host and three other women that he raped them while they were in their early teens.

The Most Unforgettable Creations of H. R. Giger, literally the stuff of nightmares.

Hans Rudolf Giger (1940–2014) was a Swiss surrealist painter, whose style was adapted for many forms of media, including record-albums, furniture and tattoo-art.

The Zurich-based artist was best known for airbrush images of humans and machines linked together in a cold ‘biomechanical’ relationship. Later he abandoned airbrush work for pastels, markers or ink. He was part of the special effects team that won an Academy Award for design work on the film Alien. In Switzerland there are two theme-bars that reflect his interior designs, and his work is on permanent display at the H.R. Giger Museum at Gruyeres. Wikipedia

For most of his life, the Swiss artist, whose morbid artistry informed the look and feel of the entire Alien franchise, suffered from debilitating night terrors. Giger was an expert in translating his fears into beauty. For as long as Giger created art, he created the macabre. His fascination with the morbid could not have contrasted more starkly with his upbringing in the picturesque village of Chur, Switzerland. Wired
